Welcome to the Willie Brown Elementary Library!

"Libraries allow children to ask questions about the world and find the answers.  And the wonderful thing is that once a child learns to use a library, the doors to learning are always open."  ~Laura Bush

Sharon Dressel, Librarian

Library Hours: Monday - Friday  | 8:15 AM - 3:30 PM

Savvy parents and educators know that the school library is key to teaching students not just to read, but to practice the skills they need to seek, evaluate and use information throughout their lives.  Libraries transform learning!  Read here to find out how!

Library Information & Book Checkout Policy

Willie Brown Elementary classes visit the library weekly for instruction and checkout. Our library has an "Open Check Out" policy which allows students the flexibility to visit the library individually on a more frequent basis.

  • Students in grades K-2 check out one book.
  • Students in grades 3-4 check out up to 2 books.
  • All books circulate for one week and may be renewed  as needed.

Parents, please help to ensure your child is a good library citizen and returns his/her book in good condition and on time.  For complete details, download the Book Checkout Policy.  For more information, contact your school librarian.
